It is December already; the year has passed so quickly. We have accomplished a lot in the 2015 year and I hope we will continue the trend in 2016.
We just completed the first club fundraiser in the form of the Jacksonville Corporate Challenge. The event was supported by 21 teams. Intrepid Capital team took top honors followed by W.W. Guns and Gold in second place. I thank all those that supported the event.
Remember, Jacksonville Corporate Challenge is the only event we host where all proceeds go to capital improvements of the club. I hope that more club members will support this event in the future by forming their own teams or by purchasing raffle tickets with the chance of winning one of three guns. The Club Championship will be held at 9AM on Saturday, December 5 followed by the Annual Meeting at 2PM. I hope to see many life members present at the meeting. A lunch of hamburgers and hot dogs will be served at 12 noon.
If you have not been to the club lately you might be surprised by the Harrell Construction sign near the entrance. Glen Harrell (past president of the club) and his company are acting as general contractors on the project to make the club compliant with the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act). We hope to complete the project by the first quarter of the year 2016.
With the days getting shorter and nights longer, we have less available time to shoot on work days, but there is always time on weekends. I wish you all Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
