December Newsletter

Dear Members,
This is my last communication with you as president of Jacksonville Clay Target Sports. It has been my pleasure and my privilege to serve you over the last three years. I am pleased to report to you that the club’s facilities, finances, and management are all in great shape and ready for the future.  This is due to the efforts of a very active Board of Directors and an excellent Executive Committee.

The new Board of Directors and officers will be selected at the annual meeting on December 2, and I hope many of you will be there.  Also on December 2nd,  you can take the opportunity to compete for the club championship. The championship is a fun day to gather at the club, shoot skeet, trap, and sporting clays, and reflect on the year. We hope you can join us for this event!

Reflecting on our business position, I would like to report that the club’s business has been growing. We had one of the best Octobers on record, and it seems this trend will continue through November as well. This fall and winter are packed with activities and special events. For more details, please refer to the calendar.

The club continues to improve its facilities. You may notice new metal roofs on the skeet houses and fresh paint. In the future you will see construction on the second storage building, the new bathroom, and the course sign on the Sporting Clays Course South.

Please remember that the club has a 501c3 foundation (charitable). Funds from the foundation are used to promote and support the safe handling of shotguns, and clay target sports. Your donations to the foundation are tax deductible.

Thank you again, and I hope to see you at the club.

Z. Mincek
President
