At Jacksonville Clay Target Sports, the Shooting Stars women’s program gives women of all experience levels the chance to learn, grow, and connect through clay target sports. Designed to create a comfortable and encouraging environment, this monthly event welcomes everyone — from first-time shooters to experienced members who are looking for a relaxed, social way to enjoy the sport.
Each month, women gather at JCTS for a day that blends learning with fun. Beginners meet at the five-stand pavilion, receiving coaching and guidance from the women of the JU Shooting Team, who generously volunteer their time to help enhance aim and confidence. For those who are more experienced, the sporting clays course offers a place to challenge their skills alongside other women who share their enthusiasm for the sport. No matter your level, Shooting Stars is about improving at your own pace and enjoying the experience.
The atmosphere is friendly, supportive, and free from pressure. Many women return month after month, not only to refine their skills but also to enjoy the camaraderie that comes with being part of a welcoming community. With approachable coaching and a flexible format, it’s the perfect way to explore clay target sports without needing to commit to a full team or league.
