Jacksonville Clay Target Sports (JCTS) is more than just a premier destination for shotgun sports—it’s a living piece of Northeast Florida’s history. With origins dating back to 1936, JCTS proudly stands as one of the oldest continuously operating gun clubs in the country.
Born during the Great Depression era, the club has weathered nearly nine decades of change while remaining steadfast in its mission to support and grow the clay target sports community. The club's current facility, in operation since December 1984, spans an impressive 159 acres and has continually expanded and modernized its offerings while preserving the rich traditions that define its legacy.
Today, the club offers a wide variety of shooting disciplines—including trap, skeet, sporting clays, and our new five stand building—welcoming everyone from first-time shooters to competitive athletes. JCTS isn’t just a place to shoot; it’s a place to learn, connect, and grow as part of a larger shooting sports community.
Education and outreach have long been central to JCTS’s mission. As the home range for the Jacksonville University shooting team, the club plays a vital role in developing young talent and promoting safe, responsible firearm use.
As JCTS approaches its 90th anniversary, the club remains committed to honoring its storied past while continuing to build for the future. Whether you're a long-time member or a first-time visitor, you're part of a tradition that has endured through the decades and will continue to flourish for many generations ahead.
