Dear Member I hope you had a Merry Christmas and that 2017 will be a great new year for all of you and your families. We are looking forward to an exciting year at Jacksonville Clay Target Sports, with many new undertakings planned for the club. Dear Member    November was a very good month for Jacksonville Clay Target Sports.At the beginning of the month the club hosted the Jacksonville Corporate Challenge where corporate teams compete for “bragging rights” as the best team in Jacksonville. This event is the club’s only event where all proceeds go toward the club’s capital improvements. It was a tough competition this year, with Intrepid Capital edging out Wild West Guns and Gold by a single target. Third place went to the Sunshine Boys; Lewis Class 1 to the Coldwell Banker; and Lewis Class 2 to the St. Vincent’s Foundation. The...

October has been a tough month at Jacksonville Clay Target Sports, as Hurricane Matthew came through with a vengeance. Many trees have fallen, dividers between skeet fields were blown down, and we were without power for a week. As a result, the Emory Pappy Skeet Tournament had to be canceled, but despite the damage we sustained; it could have been a lot worse, and considering the possibilities, I’d say we dodged a bullet and survived with just minor scratches.
